I was hoping to make a ragdoll compilation video because watching people bodies fly like superman always brings a smile to my face! But I really don't see any point in buying a capture card for a game that's only going to be around for 29 more days and I won't be using my PS3 when this has ended, so that kinda sucks but you can't have everything.....
I managed to save up 7 mil SP over April and decided to max out Mass Drivers so I could join the masshole ranks with Winmatar Commandos (not the jumpy type; F those guys). Now with the remaining days left I feel I could finally skill into Heavy's to complete the Winmatar Dropsuit tree.
I would have liked to skill into Submachine Guns and dual wield them with a Winmatar Assault that is speed tanked but unfortunately over the years my controller has gotten somewhat battered and my sprint analogue stick is borked, so that's kinda out of the question.
Anyway would love to hear from you guys n gals what are you hoping to achieve with your remaining time left, what will you be spending your SP on and what would have you like to have done?
That is all o7
TL;DR
I'm just gonna keep training Caldari to the end, and max out as many relevant skills as possible.
Read on for the longer version:
As people who've read my posts will know, I'm a beta vet that never actually played until a little less than a year ago. I had plans to train intensively Caldari everything, suits, modules, weapons, tactics. I really thought they'd port Dust and I would be able to continue down this path on a different platform.
But we all know what happened. The port never was, and now there's going to be a new version, maybe, on PC. We don't even know what we're going to get, or whether it will actually get the green light. All I have really is what's left of Dust. I could just forget it because there's no point, or I could continue with the training to see just how far I can go. I may be thwarted by circumstance - if in the final days, everyone just gives up, there won't be any battles, and so no chance of really improving further. But if I'm lucky, I'll get to continue my training right to the end.
My plan in such an event is to continue exactly as I was, training certain skills all the way to level 5, judiciously choosing exactly which skills I will bother with and which I can forget about. I may not get to Caldari Logistics 5, for instance. Currently I use ADV logistics suits, fitted with pro weapon and ADV tank and modules. Logi 5 just seems like it will take too long, use too many SP and I need that time and skill for maxing out other things. I'll get there if I can, but first I have to max out MAGSEC and BP proficiency and fitting optimisation, and RR fitting optimisation. Also, ammo capacity and rapid reload would be nice to have, but they won't effect my fitting capability or weapon damage.
I already have maxed out Caldari Scout and Assault, all shield skills, damage mods, armour plates, power and electronics, profile dampening and cloaking, I'm now focussing on the rest of my core skills (the ones relevant to Caldari). I'm not interested in trying to train any other race's gear, because that will detract from the Caldari skills for no real gain. I can always use Starter Fits in the other races, if I want to experience the dark side... ;)
I'm already amazed in the short time I've been playing that I can get my Caldari Scout down to a profile of 18dB, 16dB with the Ishukone Cloak. I might make the effort to get hacking to level 5 too, since I've seen how good that can be at only level 3.
I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with shotty scouts. There's no skill to train for that, I just have to work at it in the 2 seconds that I get a chance. If I get the chance! I've also figured out that putting too much armour on a Caldari suit weighs you down more than the benefits can justify. A little goes a long way. And none at all makes for a super fast suit. Armour doesn't help with the shotty scouts....
I've figured out that even though I'm maxed out in CalAss and CalScout, I can benefit from those skills with my Rasetsu and Hawk, and I've maxed out the fittings for those suits. Having RR proficiency at 5 makes even my State Rail Rifle and State Assault Rail Rifle quite deadly. So I'm not running the pro suits as much anymore. I actually fight better in the State suits anyway. |
